Biking

So, I am by no means out of shape, but I'm not exactly in shape... So I decided to go on a bike ride yesterday...and when I got home I was curious as to how far I biked, and I know that this may not seem like a lot to some people, but it was for me! I biked about 6 1/2 miles...@_@

Again, Making Mixie Proud!

Soooo, I just continue to make Mixie proud! So, there's this A-M-A-Z-I-N-G second hand store in downtown that Mixie and I go to a lot, because, basically, THRIFTING IS AWESOME! And, so I found this a-dorable pair of "booties" today, and I decided to buy them, their actually pretty comfortable too! [see below for photos] and so my friend, who we'll call...The Artist....was with me, and he was like, "OOOOHHH! You should buy those! They're super hot!!" and me, being all d'aaawww, caved and bought them. I mean, I only own ten other pairs of heels, (two of which are black heels, and three of which are black boots) what's one more? And, in reality, I didn't own any booties yet...so 's all good! And so I buy them, and he's looking at them, and he goes, "Ohh! They're Steve Madden! These are nice shoes," and we leave it at that.

So, I get home, and I look at them, and I wonder, "Hmmm....I wonder how much these actually cost..." So, I go onto Steve Madden's website, and I'm looking around, and I find the closest pair to them that I could...guess how much? $189.99! And guess how much I bought them for? $18! SCORE! I mean, that is a GREAT find!! A few hours later The Artist and his family come over for barbeque, and I tell him and his mom, and they BOTH just look at me, mouths slightly agape, in shock. Basically, y'all should go thrifting, 'cause you can find barely worn, $190 adorable shoes for absurdly cheap prices!! =D

OH YEAH! And Mixie would ALSO be proud, because I can see her wearing these shoes, in fact, she has a fairly similar pair to these in grey...TWINSIES! =)

Homeless People

Okay, so, I am not one of those people who see a homeless person and freak out, I'm totally cool with them...I feel bad for them, and am more than willing to give them food and work in soup kitchens. BUT I feel like when you're walking down a street in downtown, and you see a homeless person, and they have a DOG, it's like, "UHHHHMMMM, you can't afford a home, you're asking for money for food for yourself, HOW THE HECK DO YOU AFFORD A DOG?? I feel like they're abusing the dog...

Also, I don't think people should give money to homeless people...Now I know that not ALL of them do this, but a LOT of them go out, and, with the money people give them, they buy drugs or alcohol...so, I think people should give them food! I hang out in downtown a lot, and Mixie and I got noodles once, and I got dumplings, and I had, like, 5 of them left..and we gave it to some homeless guy on the street, I mean, c'mon! Who doesn't like dumplings?? And a friend of mine always tells a story about how her aunt went in and bought a guy a banana when he asked for money once...

Bottomline: dumplings are yummy!

Mixie Would Be Proud!

So, as some of you may know...(well most of you...because I think everyone who reads this blog knows me personally) I have CRAZY curly hair. And I VERY RARELY wear it down. Well, there have been two outings now (one was a babyshower, and one was I went to see Super 8 with my dad [That was a REALLY good movie, btw! Y'all should go and see it!]) where I've worn my hair down. Granted, I had to use a boatload of anti-frizz in my hair, and a bit of hairspray, but I found that I sort of liked it...It looks kind of cute...hehe xD (I'm super self-conscious about my hair, so it's saying a lot for me to go out in public with it down for the entire outing) And wearing my hair down is something that Mixie is ALWAYS trying to get me to do...Sorry you weren't there to see it though, Mixie! We'll just have to convene at a later date so I can show you my new awesome styling skills of my hair!!

For those of you who might be curious, my hair sort of looks like this (except a bit more frizzing...xD and a little longer)

Crazy Fan Girl's Dream Come True

So, I was in Italy for the past few weeks, and I had an amazing time! I loved every moment of it! Up until the morning of the day of my flight. I was staying in the home of a girl and her family, and I came to love them very much. And sadly, the chances of me ever seeing them again are VERY slim. So it was a very sad day. BUT, the day quickly picked up when I got to the airport. Who was there but MAYDAY PARADE! My all time favorite band! And, get this, THEY WERE ON MY FLIGHT!!

I'm a little tired of telling this story so i'll jsut recap it, I got their autographs, I am now best friends with one of them, took a photo with them, and got hugs from them all. So, all in all, it made a REALLY sucky day A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! <3 They're all around awesome dudes, they were totally sweet and nice, and kept saying thank you to me, which I, of course, kept saying thank you back to. And they were totally fine with my semi-overwhelmed, fan girl, star struck attitude!

So, for all of you who don't know Mayday Parade (SHAME ON YOU!) here's some photos, a video of one of their songs, and some songs that you should listen to of theirs!
